**Carbon Production:** All plants require a source of carbon, and Flourish Excel is an excellent and convenient source of biologically available organic carbon.
**Iron Production:** Flourish Excel also has iron-reducing properties, thus enhancing the ferrous state of iron (Fe+2), which plants can utilize more easily than ferric iron (Fe+3).
**Photosynthesis:** Plants need to produce longer-chain carbon compounds (photosynthetic media). By using a dose of Flourish Excel,
**Treatment:** Upon initial use or after a significant water change (40%), use one capful of Flourish Excel (5 ml) for every 40 liters (10 US gallons). Thereafter, use one capful for every 200 liters (50 US gallons) daily or every other day. For smaller doses, please note that each capful is approximately 1 ml.
**Safety:** Flourish Excel is completely safe for fish; however, if you have Anacharis in the aquarium where you are using Flourish Excel dosage, it is recommended to use it every other day instead of daily.
